Karunya Nilayam conducted a seminar on Pain and Palliative Care Mission at Vakathanam Jerussalem St. Mary’s Orthodox Churh on February 13. Kottayam District Pain and Palliative Consortium Secretary, Dr. P. K. Koyakkutty led the seminar. And Thoothootty Mor Gregorian Pain and Palliative Ministry coordinator Sr. Susan shared from their three years experience. Very Rev. E.K. George Enchakkattu Cor-Episcopa, Fr. C. John Chirathalattu, Fr. Kuriakose Mani, Sri John George, Sri. Scariakutty, President and members of Panchayat and Block Panhayat and Many well wishers of this mission helped in conducting the seminar. More than hundred members of Marthamariam Samajam Vakathanam District were present in the seminar. About fifty of them expressed their willingness to join the mission.
This was the first seminar of its kind to give awareness to common people about the importance of palliative care. We will conduct more seminars in cooperation of Our Churches and Spiritual Organizations. We welcome all who interested to join this mission to extend the helping hand to every needy people.

Two weeks ago, Catholicos and Malankara Metropolitan H. H. Baslios Paulos II inaugurated Pain and Palliative Care Mission in presence of H.G. Geevarghese Mar Ivanios, Mar Mathew Moolakkattu, Bishop Sam Mathew and many well wishers.
